Simon Coulombe est professeur agrégé au Département des relations industrielles de l'Université Laval. Formé en psychologie communautaire (doctorat de l’UQAM obtenu en 2016), il mène des recherches sur la promotion du bien-être positif et le rétablissement en santé mentale chez des travailleur.se.s de divers groupes marginalisés, incluant les personnes vivant avec des difficultés de santé mentale et celles en situation de précarité d’emploi. Ses travaux se situent à l’intersection entre les relations industrielles et plusieurs champs de la psychologie (communautaire, positive, environnementale et organisationnelle). Il possède aussi une expertise particulière sur les effets de l’aménagement physique des milieux de vie (travail, maison, quartier) sur la santé. Avant de joindre l’Université Laval, il a été professeur adjoint en psychologie à Wilfrid Laurier University, où il a entre autres contribué à des recherches sur le bien-être et l’inclusion des personnes LGBTQ+. Enfin, il mène actuellement des recherches appliquées en partenariat avec l'organisme Revivre dans le but d'évaluer l'implantation et les effets de groupes de soutien à l'autogestion offerts en ligne pour les personnes vivant avec la dépression, l'anxiété ou le trouble bipolaire. Il est membre de la Chaire de recherche sur l’intégration et la gestion des diversités en emploi et du Viessmann Centre for Engagement and Research in Sustainability
