Après un stage postdoctoral à l’Université McGill, monsieur Leanza est nommé maître assistant à la Faculté de psychologie et des sciences de l’éducation de l’Université de Genève. Il entre au service de l’École de psychologie de l’Université Laval en janvier 2007. Ses intérêts de recherche portent sur l’activité des professionnels de la santé en contexte pluriculturel. Il a publié des articles sur diverses problématiques interculturelles, notamment le rapport à l’Autre en milieu médical et les rôles sociaux des interprètes communautaires en santé. Monsieur Leanza est chercheur régulier au Centre interuniversitaire d’étude sur les langues, les arts et les traditions (CELAT) et au sein de l’équipe de recherche Migrations et ethnicité dans les interventions en santé et services sociaux (METISS, du Centre intégré Universtaire de Santé et Services Sociaux du Centre-ouest de l’île de Montréal). METISS fait partie du Centre de recherche SHERPA recherche immigration société. Monsieur Leanza est le directeur d’Alterstice – Revue internationale de la recherche interculturelle et dirige le laboratoire «Psychologie et cultures».
